Note: This parcel does NOT have official drive up legal access. You can access it through the 640 acres of BLM (government owned) land that are adjacent to the property. About 2,000 people live in Eureka County, which contains over 4,000 square miles of land.
Access to the property drives a great deal of the pricing on desert properties. In much of the desert, Nevada uses a checkerboard system where every other section (1 square mile) is government owned. Most parcels in the desert available to the public do NOT have drive up legal access on a county maintained road and are very cheap ($200-$400/acre). You can access them through the adjacent government owned land (Bureau of Land Management) via unnamed dirt roads.
The parcels that do have official drive up access on county maintained roads are generally far more expensive ($800-$1000/acre and up).
It may be possible to apply for a permit to obtain official road access to the parcel. You would need to contact the Nevada BLM for details.
